Built around a lifetime of listening, collecting, DJ’ing and sharing Black music — from soul and R&B to jazz-funk, street soul, boogie and everything that connects them.

Listening to, collecting and DJ’ing Black music from the 70s onwards. An original member of the Double Trouble sound system before they became recording artists, co-creator of the #TheSoulMixtape blog and a DJ at Nuwave Radio. Decades of listening, collecting and digging have shaped a wide-ranging musical perspective. The influences are many.

A lover and collector of Soul, Funk, Rare Groove and Jazz since the early ’80s, DJ Grizz, together with SoulNRnB, was one of the originators and main contributors to the Soul Mixtape Blog from its beginnings in 2008. He DJed across East London and Essex over the years before joining Black music station Our Music Radio in 2019, where he hosts The Jazz Hour on Sundays and The Soul Niceness Show on Mondays. He’s now part of the next chapter of #TheSoulMixtape.
